I’m a wife, mother, painter, and maker living in the lakes and mountains region of Maine. I primarily paint nature, either through oil paintings of land and skyscapes, or through gouache paintings of weeds and flowers.
I don’t seek to extrapolate nuanced meaning through my art; you’ll find no veiled postulation here. I paint for the joy of capturing the juxtaposition of creation, from massive billowing clouds above to the tiny weeds below.
I merely point to what is observable, what is created, reminders of the relentless and unchanging, truth that is easily observable on a short walk around the neighborhood with rowdy children.
